Omajan provides the following AI-powered services:
- Omajan Chat — A retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) chatbot that answers questions using indexed official Omani sources, with citations for every response
- Omajan Pulse — A bilingual (English/Arabic) news timeline covering Oman-related topics with community engagement features
- Omajan Admin — A management console for authorized administrators to manage content and users
3. User Accounts & Responsibilities
To access certain features, you must create an account using your email address or through Google OAuth. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete registration information
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized account access
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior.
4. AI Disclaimer & Limitations
Important Notice
AI-generated responses from Omajan Chat may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or errors. Always verify important information with official sources. Omajan's AI responses do not constitute legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.
Specifically:
- AI responses are generated from indexed sources and may not reflect the most current regulations or policies
- Citations point to source materials but the AI's interpretation may differ from the original intent
- When responses have low confidence, we display a transparency banner to indicate uncertainty
- You should consult qualified professionals for legal, medical, or financial decisions
5. User Content & Conduct
When posting comments, reactions, or other content on Omajan Pulse, you retain ownership of your content but grant us a license to display it on the platform. You agree not to:
- Post content that is unlawful, harmful, or misleading
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Share personal information of others without consent
- Post spam, advertisements, or unauthorized promotional material
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with our AI systems
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines and to moderate community interactions.
6. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Omajan's services to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation of the Sultanate of Oman or your jurisdiction
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the service without our written permission
- Overwhelm our systems with excessive requests or denial-of-service attacks
- Use our AI services to generate harmful, misleading, or deceptive content
- Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit our content without authorization
7. Intellectual Property
The Omajan name, logo, and branding are our trademarks. The platform design, code, and AI systems are our intellectual property or licensed to us.
Content displayed on Omajan Pulse may be sourced from third parties and remains the property of its respective owners. Citations and source attributions are provided for transparency.
You may share links to Omajan content freely. Reproducing substantial portions of content requires our written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Omajan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.
This includes but is not limited to damages arising from:
- Inaccurate AI-generated responses or citations
- Service interruptions or data loss
- Unauthorized access to your account
- Decisions made based on information from our platform
Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Sultanate of Oman.

You may stop using our services and request account deletion at any time by contacting us. We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the services ceases immediately, though we may retain certain data as required by law.
