Omajan invoicing
العربيةGet ready for Fawtara
Invoice properly today. Switch on e-invoicing at your date, in the same app.
Omajan issues real VAT tax invoices for Omani businesses now, in Arabic and English, and checks every one against the official e-invoicing rules, so the move to Fawtara is a switch rather than a project.
When Fawtara applies to you
E-invoicing becomes mandatory in two groups, split by annual taxable supplies:
1 April 2027
Businesses whose annual supplies exceed OMR 5 million
1 October 2027
All other VAT-registered businesses

What changes
- Tax invoices become structured electronic invoices in the PINT OM format, the Oman edition of Peppol.
- Each e-invoice must be validated by the issuer's own accredited service provider, which, for business buyers, exchanges it over the Peppol network.
- From your date, a PDF or paper invoice on its own is no longer enough.
What you get today
Legal tax invoices, in both languages
VAT tax invoices and simplified tax invoices in Arabic and English, with your CR number, company seal and signature, numbered in your own series (for example INV-2026-00001).
Credit and debit notes
Correct an issued invoice with a credit or debit note. The original stays unchanged, and each kind of note has its own number series.
A locked archive and exports
Every live document gets its PDF and is archived in a retention-locked store on Google Cloud in Singapore, sealed with Cloud KMS keys. Nobody can alter or delete it during the retention period, not even us. Download the PDF, or export the full evidence package, at any time.
A readiness check on every invoice
Invoices are checked against the official PINT OM rules before you issue them. Before your date, a gap in those rules is a warning to fix, not a block.
Practice mode
A separate, clearly labelled Practice space with a sample customer and items. Try everything there; nothing in Practice is a real invoice.
Your team and your accountant
Invite colleagues or your accountant as administrator, issuer or viewer. You decide who may work in your live and practice spaces, and you can remove access at any time.
From sign-up to your first invoice
- 1Create your account on omajan.com and give your consent.
- 2Set up your business in three short steps: your details, a few questions, and your CR and VAT certificates.
- 3Add your seal and signature, then issue your first invoice, or try it first in Practice.
What Omajan is not
- Omajan is invoicing software, not an accredited service provider. At your go-live date, your e-invoices go through your own accredited provider.
- Sending e-invoices through a provider is not available yet. Today Omajan issues PDF tax invoices that you give to your buyer.
- Omajan is not a point-of-sale till.
- The QR code for consumer invoices will be added once the Tax Authority publishes its specification.
