When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile image (if signing in via Google OAuth). Authentication is handled through BetterAuth, which creates secure session tokens stored in cookies.

We collect anonymized usage analytics through PostHog to understand how users interact with our services. This includes page views, feature usage, and general navigation patterns. We do not track individual keystrokes or form inputs beyond what is necessary for service operation.
Chat & AI Interactions
When you use Omajan Chat, your questions are processed by our AI systems to generate responses with citations. We may store conversation history to improve service quality. AI responses are generated from indexed official Omani sources and should not be treated as legal or professional advice.
Content Interactions
On Omajan Pulse, we store your bookmarks, comments, and reactions to provide a personalized experience. This data is associated with your account and can be deleted upon request.

- Database: User data is stored in Neon (PostgreSQL), a SOC 2 compliant cloud database provider
- Hosting: Our applications are deployed on Vercel with automatic HTTPS encryption
- Authentication: Session tokens are encrypted and stored as secure HTTP-only cookies
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:
- Neon — Cloud PostgreSQL database for storing user accounts, content, and application data
- Vercel — Application hosting, deployment, and edge network delivery
- PostHog — Product analytics for understanding usage patterns (anonymized)
- Google OAuth — Optional sign-in provider; we receive only your name, email, and profile image
- OpenAI — AI model provider for generating chat responses (queries are processed but not stored by OpenAI for training)
