Export, archive and your data
Where your invoices are kept, how to get them out, and how to close your account.
The archive
Every live document is sealed with Cloud KMS keys and kept in a retention-locked store on Google Cloud in Singapore, for the period VAT law requires (10 years, or 15 for real estate). During that period nobody can alter or delete it, not even us.
Getting your invoices out
- Download any document's PDF from Issued documents.
- Export a document's full evidence package (its XML, calculation, validation and audit records) as a ZIP for your records or your auditors. This asks for your password.
- Exports keep working when the account is read-only or closed.
Your account data
- Download my data: in your account settings under Your data, one file with your account data.
- Close my account: in your account settings under Danger Zone. The screen tells you beforehand what closing does in your case. An owner's businesses close and stay readable, because tax records must be kept.
